The licence plate is supplied with the e-scooter, together with the plate holder and the registration code. Producing the plate, the holder and the administration costs 29,95. You order that package with your e-scooter; we make sure everything is in the box on delivery.

Yes. Third-party liability insurance (WA) is required by law for every e-scooter with a licence plate. It covers the damage you cause to others. Riding uninsured means risking a fine and paying for all damage yourself.

You take out the insurance as soon as your e-scooter has been delivered. The box contains a document explaining how to get insured and on the road in three steps via our partner StepVerzekerd. Want to protect your e-scooter against theft and damage as well? You can easily add that cover when taking out the policy.

StepVerzekerd is registered with the AFM as a tied intermediary of ANWB Verzekeren and handles the entire application. NAVEE Benelux supplies the e-scooter and does not act as an insurance intermediary.

As soon as your e-scooter arrives, you can register it in your name. The box contains all the documents you need, including the registration code. As a private individual you arrange it yourself online at rdw.nl with DigiD; as a company with eHerkenning. No DigiD or eHerkenning, or do you prefer to do it in person? Then you can visit a licence plate desk or an RDW counter.

The registration costs 51,50; it is charged at checkout and we pass it on to the RDW. You must be at least 16 years old and registered at a residential address in the Netherlands. Once the e-scooter is in your name, you take out insurance and you are ready for the road.

No driving licence is required for an approved e-scooter such as the ST3 Pro NL. You must, however, be at least 16 years old to ride it on public roads.

A helmet is not mandatory for an approved e-scooter with a top speed of 25 km/h. For your own safety, however, we strongly recommend wearing one.

Then the approval lapses. The ST3 Pro NL is limited to 25 km/h at the factory, and that is the speed the RDW approval is based on. If you raise it, the e-scooter no longer meets the requirements for public roads, your insurance cover lapses, you are personally liable for all damage, and the warranty is void as well.

Before using the e-scooter for the first time, you need to activate it. Here is how:
1. Scan the QR code to download and install the NAVEE app, following the quick start guide in the box.
2. Switch the e-scooter on. A flashing Bluetooth symbol indicates it is waiting for a connection.
3. Open the app, tap “Connect my device” and follow the instructions to pair your e-scooter.

The stated range is measured with a full battery, no wind and 25 °C, at a constant 15 km/h on a flat road with a 75 kg rider. In practice, range varies with load, outside temperature, wind, road surface, tyre pressure, the battery’s charge cycles, the riding mode and your riding style. Expect less range in cold weather and with frequent acceleration and braking.
